The Right Slopes for Me?
Beginners
Excellent: Hemsedal has a wonderful beginners area that is great for those new to the snow, whatever your age. The ski school provides instruction at an international standard and all instructors are English speaking.
Intermediate
Excellent: There is a fantastic range of intermediate runs, from cruisy blues to more challenging reds, you can try your hand at the ski and boarder cross, speed tests, or slalom courses that are spread across the resort.
Advanced
Excellent: There is a good selection of black runs, but Hemsedal's unrivalled off-piste where the resort really exceeds expectations for skiers and snowboarders alike.
Cross-Country
Good: There are 250km of marked and maintained trails spread across 3 locations in and around Hemsedal, making it a great destination for those interested in cross country skiing.
Snowboard
Excellent: With a choice of 4 snow parks, Hemsedal has some of the best snowboarding and freestyle facilities in Scandinavia. You can even practice your tricks under floodlights thanks to areas of the parks being open at night. Hemsedal is host to several international snowboarding and big air events and there is excellent freestyle tuition available.
