Ski Holidays in April

With beautiful blue skies, warmer climes and excellent guaranteed snow conditions, Easter skiing in Scandinavia for the ‘in the know’ skier is already very popular.

Guaranteed snow

For over 17 years, records show resorts in Scandinavia still experience at least 2.5 snow days a week with between 7-12cm of fresh snow falling during weeks in April. It’s often a misconception that skiing 'finishes after March' – but this is not the case in Scandinavia! April ski conditions on the mountains of Norway and Sweden rival those of the Alps during peak season. 

Warmer weather

Leave the thermals at home, pop on your suncream and ski under the sun! Although temperatures feel milder, conditions remain stable with plenty of fresh snowfall making for envious skiing conditions. Combine warmer days with overnight temperatures below zero and you’re guaranteed that soft velvety pistes will stay in fantastic condition through to the end of April.

Longer days

By the end of March, days stretch to more than 12 hours long. Quiet slopes

Scandinavia’s famously quiet slopes and barely there lift queues are even more inviting during the Easter holiday weeks. It's an especially good time for beginners and families to go skiing as there is plenty of space on the slopes to build confidence in your ski technique.
